Nov 8 2020. These systems are among Apple's oldest 68030 products: yet a number ofpeople still use them. Unfortunately, from age and to some extent from use, they are simply'wearing out'; I'm not offering these as systems for sale. I'm showing these as examples and for reference,so you can order parts for them to repair your Macs.

Here are the variousMac II's and LC's systems I describe on this page, and links to older systems pages. Contact me for your parts or systems needs as noted.

Sep 29, 2014 Floppy Emu is a floppy and hard disk emulator for classic Apple II, Macintosh, and Lisa computers. It uses an SD memory card and custom hardware to mimic an Apple floppy disk and drive, or an Apple hard drive.

The Performa 400, 405, 410, 420, and 430 are ALL THE SAME as the LC II,except they were sold with different hard drive capacities. The Performa450 is the same as the LC III, and the Performa 460, 466, and 467 areLC III+ systems (33MHz processor instead of 25MHz). Check with Apple andother Mac sites for details about these various systems.

We offer power supplies, motherboards, drives for these models, please bespecific. Follow this link to parts and upgrades for these systems.

Mac II, IIx, IIfx series systems

Mac II-series systems: 68030 systems (except the II is 68020). The II, IIx, IIfx have a large footprint, support TWO floppy drives, and many NuBus cards. All of these systems were produced with a hard drive, memory and an 1.4M 'superdrive' floppy (except the II). They require a monitor, keyboard and mouse to be used as a personal computer. they need a NuBus video card which can also addmore colors or resolution, and speed up the system. Also NuBus network cards were available. Follow this link to parts and upgrades for these systems.

The Mac IIfx was the top-line 68030 system for several years. People still use these to support scientific applications! These use special 64-pin memory SIMMS: my supply of them is limited.

The Mac II, IIx and IIfx are large NuBus systems with six slots in identical cases. They support TWOfloppy drives as well as a hard drive (other Mac II's only support one). The IIvx is a sleekercase which supports 3 NuBus slots and has room for a CD-ROM drive. Wt. 35 lbs

Mac II: 68020 w/FPU, 800K floppy, NuBus slots, with NuBus video card. These use 30-pin SIMMs, check my memory section for prices. Shipping weight 35 lbs.

IIfx SCSI internal terminator

In Feb 2006 a customer was kind enough to explore the Web on the subject of the Mac IIFX and its internal SCSI terminator, possibly part number 590-4515. This is an odd little black board which is on the end of a SCSI cable, It provides passive SCSI termination. These are hard to find. Information about this item is at these Web sites:
Apple Developer Note:
and the following:
Apple Service Manual
These sites say that a IIfx without an internal hard drive requires that a 'SCSI Termination Block' be installed. We don't have this part at this time (Feb 2006) but it's possible we may another time, so ask and encourage me!

Another customer, in 2007, gave me this information:
External SCSI Terminator (that Black one only used for the Mac IIfx and some LaserWriter setups).
Internal SCSI filter (Apple P/N 590-4516) with Internal SCSI termination Block (Apple P/N 590-4515) that was placed between the cable connector and the hard drive, with the other end of the internal SCSI cable going directly to the logic board.

Mac IIsi, IIci. IIcx, IIvx series systems

The IIsi, IIci and IIcx are 68030 processor systems which have a 12-by-14-inch'footprint'. These all support three Nubus cards, except the short IIsi which supports one with a Nubus adapter. The IIvi is an 68030 at 16 MHz, the IIvx is a 68030 at32MHz, both in a 7100 or 630 type case. Follow this link to parts and upgrades for these systems.

The IIsi and IIci have an '030' PDS slot (like the SE/30) which willtake some cards including processor cache, accelerators, or NuBus adapters. All of these systems are available with a hard drive, memory and an 1.4M 'superdrive' floppy. They all use 30-pin SIMM memory. They require a monitor, keyboard and mouse to be used as a personal computer. Some of these systems have internal video, some need a video card which can also addmore colors or resolution, and speed up the system. Also network cards are available. These are a great step up from the Compact Macs (Plus, SE, SE/30) yet you can use the same software!

Mac IIvx Also known as Performa 600: 68030/32 MHz with FPUand cache, mike input, 3 Nubus slots.Uses 30-pin SIMM memory. Looks like a PowerMac 7100.Can include CD-ROM drive.

Mac IIvx or Performa 600: after several years of offering a few as motherboards, I scrapped them out. Months later, someone asked about them.

The Mac IIvi was mostly sold in Europe and has a 68030 at 16MHz, I never had one myself here in the USA.

Mac IIcx Insaniquarium 2 full version free download. , 8 Megs RAM, hard drive bracket but no drive, NO 1.4M floppy, NuBus, without video card. Price depends on condition and availability, ask; plus shipping.
Hard drives, more memory, are available, the IIcx will take 8 30-pin SIMMs!
Shipping weight 15 lbs.

Mac IIci cache card for PDS slot, speeds up programs a bit. Look on my NuBus Web page for price. .

Mac IIsi CPU cache, math coprocessor, and NuBus slot adapter. Crash bandicoot ps1 mac. Use to add add a NuBus card, for network or video. Look for these in my NuBus parts Web page.

Parts and upgrades for II-series, LC-series systems

Most parts for these systems are available in our parts section, or ask for parts by descriptionand Mac model. Some parts are priced below.
For additional memory, check our memory page.
For NuBus and other internal cards, we have a page for those.
For Ethernet networking, check my network cards section
For hard drives, see the section on other Mac hard drives

For processor accelerators, and faster CPU chips, we have moved them tothis linked page. Elsewhere on that page are NuBus expansion cards. If you are lookingfor a 68020 or 68030 or 68040 processor or coprocessor, go there. I need to know what speedyou want, and what system it will go into.

We may have 68882 coprocessors for many of the systems on this page. Typicallythey use a PLCC package (square, pins wrapped around the edge) for the chip, and the chip is inserted in a socket. Most times the socket is in a network card, so check our network card page for the network card appropriate to your system. Go to the accelerator/processor section of the Web page mentioned above for coprocessors.

Cases, models as noted only

Case priced depend on cosmetic condition and general value of the Macmodel requested. Please keep that in mind. Here's my Web page about how I describe condition of cases.

LC cases: I have a number of LC type 'pizza box' empty cases. Theseare physically intact but yellowed, and the rubber feet on them sometimes is melted from rubber-rot. I'dcall them fair to poor cosmetics. The bottoms are less yellowed. As of Sept 2020, I'd offer an empty LC case like these for $25 plus shipping in this condition. It's a lot of fuss, just to select and ship a case, but these are small and not valuable models.

So please tell me the Mac model(s) you want. Additional mechanical parts in the case are extra, you MUST name the additional parts you want, I'll price them.

Here's how shipping works for the LC cases I described. These LC cases weigh under 5 pounds and measure 15 X 12 X 3 inches; a box to ship them would be bigger and weigh a few pounds more. Parts add more weight. I must have your location to ask the Post Office about costs of shipping.

Mac II series cases: I may have some. Many are in the same condition as the LC cases describe above. Cases like these, are priced by model and cosmetic condition. The models like the IIci, IIcx, IIsi are small and common and easy to ship; they'd cost more than the LC cases to ship. The II IIx IIfx vary in value (desireability), they are large, more fragile, expensive to ship because of SIZE not weight. So prices will vary and be higher than the LC's or the IIci cx si models, with the IIfx probably the most desirable.

Shipping for II IIx IIfx cases: they weigh about 12 pounds empty and measure 6 X 19 X 15 inches roughly. So a box to protect it would be bigger, let's say 10 X 22 X 18 inches. If box and packing weigh 4 pounds that's 16 pounds. But as it turns out, the postage for that box is the same from 12 pounds to about 25 pounds. That's how shipping works by size.

Iifx Manual 2020

Prices: please read this paragraph. I don't want to set minimum prices for these other cases. Then I get requests for the best case at the lowest price, which I can't provide. But I won't bother to offer a IIx II or IIfx case in the worst condition for less than $50 plus shipping as of Nov 2020 - and that will change. The IIsi IIci IIcx cases would be lower in price, less to ship. And I priced the worst LC LCII LCIII cases at the minimum I'd fuss with for any case.
