This free offer includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, plus additional tools, and is available using this link. Staff A home use license option for $14.99 is available through Kivuto for NYU faculty and staff in partnership with. You can get Microsoft Office 365 for free with your valid NYU email address. For students in the Nursing Informatics, Masters and Advanced Certificate Programs, in addition to the above requirements, the Nursing Informatics specialty courses will require Microsoft Access, Visio and Project Management application software.
Daily COVID-19 Screener for Campus Access
Members of the NYU community will be required to regularly complete a brief questionnaire, called the Daily COVID-19 Screener for Campus Access, via NYU Mobile or on a computer to be authorized to enter non-residential NYU facilities.

Office365 Free for Students
Students are eligible to sign-up for a free Microsoft Office 365 for Education account which includes Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, and can be installed on up to 5 computers. This program is offered directly by Microsoft and should remain valid while you are actively enrolled as a student.
Sign up for an account using your NYU Gmail address (e.g. netid@nyu.edu) at https://products.office.com/en-US/student/office-in-education and follow the instructions in the confirmation e-mail to download and install Office 365 for Education.
Office Home Use Program
Full-time employees are eligible to purchase an Office Professional Plus license for $10, which includes Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, and Publisher. Students are not elligible for this program.
Login to http://nyu.onthehub.com with your NYU NetID and password to purchase a license for Windows or macOS. Follow the instructions in the confirmation e-mail to download and install Office Professional Plus. Keep that e-mail for your records in the event you need to reinstall Office or get a new computer.
Adobe Creative Cloud
Full-time employees are eligible to purchase an annual subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud for $10/year, which includes Adobe Acrobat Professional, Photoshop, Illustrator, and many others. Students are not eligible for this program.

Antivirus
NYU offers Symantec Endpoint Protection antivirus software to all members of the Law School community. SEP is available for Windows and macOS. All members of the Law School community are strongly encouraged to install antivirus on their computers.

NYU VPN
Some NYU online services require the use of the NYU VPN when access from off-campus. Visit https://www.nyu.edu/it/vpn for instructions to download and install the NYU VPN for Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
Please read and follow all instructions carefully as you must change the default install options; failure to follow the instructions will cause the NYU VPN to malfunction.
NYU VPN now requires the use of NYU Multi-factor Authentication (MFA).
NYU Virtual Computer Lab
Students can use the NYU VCL from their laptops to access some NYU-licensed software including, Microsoft Office, statistical applications, mathmatical applications, and more. Access to the NYU VCL from off-campus requires the use of the NYU VPN. Login to https://www.nyu.edu/it/vcl with your NYU NetID and password to access the NYU VCL.

Software Installation
Many software titles are available through Software Center (click the Start menu and begin typing Software Center to find and open it). Available software titles include Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc), EndNote, NYU Box, Dropbox, NYU Google Drive, Skype, and others.
If a desired software title is not immediately available for installation please contact Helpdesk. Additional software not available through Software Center may require manual installation by Helpdesk staff. Some software licenses must be purchased with individual departmental funds.
