Important Notes about This Release

• This cumulative update contains the latest fixes for Receiver for Windows 3.x. Because updates are cumulative, each new update contains all fixes, including security fixes, included in previous releases. Citrix recommends that you install this update only if you are affected by one or more of the issues resolved in this update. Citrix also recommends that you test this update before deploying it in a production environment.
• This limited release is based on Citrix Receiver for Windows 3.3. Any known issues in Version 3.3 of the product, except for the specific issues resolved in this limited release, still apply.
• Caution! After installing this version of Citrix Receiver, you can no longer downgrade to an earlier version.
• Caution! This release may require you to edit the registry. Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

Known Issues in This Release

• When pressing Shift+F3 to disconnect a desktop session with the Desktop Viewer enabled and then reconnecting to the session, a dialog box appears, indicating that Filter Keys are no longer enabled. When this happens, click Yes to turn the keys back on, or No to proceed without using the keys. At any time in the session, you can enable the keys by pressing the Shift key for eight seconds. • When launching an application using receiver.exe on XenApp 5 and earlier versions, the Citrix Receiver icon is displayed in the Windows taskbar instead of the application icon. [BUG0310366]

This cumulative update introduces the following fixes that have not been previously released:

1. With HDX Flash redirection enabled, keyboard and mouse clicks can stop working after you finish playing a Flash video embedded in a Web page. The issue occurs because the seamless browser window fails to reclaim focus from the Flash video window.

2. With Adobe Flash Player ActiveX 11.3 installed on the endpoint device, Flash content cannot be redirected to be rendered on the client; instead, the content is rendered on the server.

   To enable this fix in its entirety, you must install both a client hotfix that contains Fix #LA2283, and

   • For XenApp: an HDX Flash hotfix that contains Fix #LA2283
   • For XenDesktop: a Virtual Desktop Agent hotfix that contains Fix #LA2283

1. After using a Webcam in a video chat program for several minutes, the video stream can begin to experience a noticeable delay.

2. On Windows XP (32-bit only) client devices, applications that do not have icons associated with them can show incorrect grouping in the Windows Taskbar.

1. This enhancement provides proxy detection logic optimization so that the logic reverts to use 'Use automatic configuration script' when Internet Explorer's 'Automatically detect settings' option is enabled and Web Proxy Auto Discovery (WPAD) is not available on the network.

2. Attempts to automatically reconnect to a disconnected virtual desktop can cause the Desktop Viewer to become unresponsive after the endpoint returns from standby mode.

3. While writing a file to the client drive if the total size exceeds the maximum quota value set for the client drive, an error message or a warning message is not displayed.

4. During the Windows initialization process, seamless sessions might become unresponsive.

5. When launching a seamless session with a secure desktop in the foreground, the seamless session might fail to take focus.

6. On occasion seamless application windows become topmost, preventing users from switching to local application windows.

7. After locking and unlocking a client device while connected to a published desktop in full-screen mode, the published desktop no longer displays in full-screen mode. Instead, the desktop appears as a window and displays horizontal and vertical scrollbars.

   Additionally, users may find the Esc and Tab keys not to function in client local applications launched using RES Virtual Desktop Extender until those applications lose and take focus again.

8. Minimizing the session window from the Desktop Viewer (CDViewer.exe) can cause CDViewer.exe to utilize up to 100% of the CPU, and attempts to restore the session window fail.

9. Clicking an application icon multiple times in rapid succession can result in the creation of multiple, separate sessions even if the application limit is set to 1. To enable this fix, you must set the following registry key:

11. Connection attempts from Citrix Receiver running on Windows XP to a Web Interface site listed in the Trusted Sites list can fail upon launch due to a ticket validation failure.

1. Attempts to to shadow user sessions from a published Shadow taskbar fail if the server is in a workgroup rather than in a domain.

1. When launching the online plug-in on a published desktop configured for smart card pass-through authentication over a remote desktop (RDP) connection, the regular Microsoft Windows logon screen appears instead of the smart card PIN prompt.

1. A change introduced in Version 12.1 of the online plug-in introduced a delay in the appearance of the connection progress bar for seamless connections. However, for sessions connecting to slower servers, this behavior is not always desirable. This enhancement introduces support for the following registry key that allows you to configure the duration of the delay:
